Lew’s Reels Australia Pro Staffer Liam Fitzpatrick is a content creator based in South East Queensland. He has spent years making videos for his YouTube channel FISH FILM EDIT and creates content across all his social media platforms. He is often referred to as a jack of all trades when it comes to fishing the East Coast of Australia. From his initial rise fishing catch and release tournaments to writing articles for multiple fishing magazines, Liam is a long-standing fixture in the Australian fishing scene and a dedicated advocate for recreational fishing and fish and habitat conservation. A member of his local stocking group LAFMA and a representative of SunTag Queensland Liam has volunteered his time and countless hours to bettering recreational fishing for all Australian anglers. His in-depth knowledge and understanding of fishing and quality products bought him to our attention and has been a welcome and prominent member of Team Lew’s since our beginning here in Australia. We appreciate his loyalty and look forward to his contributions well into the future with his informative fishing content and unrivalled character in our Australian fishing community.

Hi I’m Mathew Flynn,
I’ve been a keen fisherman from a young age where I fished for saltwater estuary species with my Dad. I caught my first Australian Bass in my late teens and haven’t looked back. I began Bass tournament fishing in 2017 in the ABT Bass Electric series and have now fished multiple tournaments in both the Bass Electrics and also have fished as a Co-Angler in the Bass Pro series. Some of my achievements are:

Born and raised in a little town called Wingham located on the Mid North Coast in NSW it was inevitable that I would find a love of fishing surrounded by the river. At a young age I got my love of fishing from two important people my grandfather and my uncle Morris (maker of Mars Lures). I would spend hours down by the Manning River fishing with my mates, camping on weekends up the river, fun times, and lots of bass fishing. It’s been a passion of mine ever since. In my adult years I moved to a town called Singleton in NSW, there I found the joys of dam fishing. It wasn’t till I moved back to Taree with my wife and two children, that I started doing professional fishing with my first ABT tournament in 2004 and since then have done countless tournaments some top 10’s tucked away in there. My most memorable moment would have to be winning the ABT bass grand final in 2017 it had been a close call at the end, but I was super pumped when I got first place. I have always strived to do my best even though there have been plenty of times in I failed, I tried to see the fun in it. My passion for this sport has led me up and down the coast from Queensland all the way to Victoria, I have met some great anglers and made some equally great friends along the way. I have an amazing partner who has supported me in these adventures, and I am grateful that she has. I found through my years of fishing that there is always something new to learn and having people around me who have the same love of fishing has really helped me grow as an angler. I know in my future fishing endeavors I will grow even more in an ever-growing sport.
